Deaconess Rosa Lee Nance Scott was born October 8th, 1951, to Willie Rufus Nance and Clara Irby Nance.
She attended the public schools of Laurens County, South Carolina and was a graduate of the Sanders High School Class of 1969.
She was a faithful member of Rocky Springs Baptist Church in Laurens, South Carolina where she served as a Deaconess and on the Missionary Ministry. She continuously showed much love, compassion, and commitment in her service until her health began to fail.
Rosa Lee was employed at Palmetto Spinning in Laurens, South Carolina until its closing. She later retired after many years employment with National Healthcare.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Scott; three brothers: John H. Nance, J. B. Nance, and Willie Nance Jr.; and two sisters: Mamie McDowell and Mary Alice Nance.
On Thursday, July 16, 2026, Mrs. Rosa Lee Nance Scott transitioned from her life here on earth to her Eternal home at the age of seventy-four.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories, the love of her life- her son, Eric (Latoya) Johnson of Greenville, SC; four grandchildren: Shimeak Johnson (whom she loved dearly), LaPorche Hudgens, Peatris Hudgens, and Portez Hudgens; six great grandchildren; one niece reared in the home, Mary McDowell; two sisters-in-law: Peggy H. Nance and Jacquelyn Nance; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Rosa Lee leaves a rich and everlasting legacy, and she will be missed greatly.
