Deacon Lee Benson Todd

Mr. Lee Benson “Ben” Todd peacefully departed this life on Tuesday, July 2, 2026 at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital in Greenville, South Carolina. He was eighty-three years old.

Born in Laurens, South Carolina on April 11, 1943, he was the son of the late Mr. Converse Todd and the late Mrs. Gertrude Brown Todd. Ben was a proud graduate of Sanders High School. A lifelong resident of Laurens, he later began a long and dedicated career as a lineman with Laurens Electric where he served the community faithfully for twenty years.

A man of deep faith and unwavering commitment, Ben was a devoted member of Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church. He served honorably as a Deacon.

Ben was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Adrienne Christine Todd, whose memory he carried with him throughout his life.

To God be the glory for a life well lived. Those left to cherish and celebrate the memory of Ben Todd include his loving wife of fifty-one years, Dorothy Todd; his son, Tyler (Britnie) Todd; one grandson, Brendan Todd; one granddaughter, Wynter Todd; his siblings, Clarence (Francis) Todd, Connolly Todd, and Louvenia Todd; and one aunt, Elma S. Madden. Ben will forever be remembered for his kindness, strength, and gentle spirit by a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Lee Benson Todd leaves a legacy of love, service and devotion that will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
