Ms. Jessie Louise Croft was born in Laurens County, South Carolina to the late Raymond Croft, Jr. and Rosa Lee Mims (Willie C.) Valentine. She attended the public schools of Laurens County, South Carolina where she was a graduate of the Laurens District 55 High School Class of 1976.

She was a member of Rocky Springs Baptist Church in Laurens, South Carolina. Jett, as she was lovingly called by her family and friends, was employed at Whitten Center as well as a Home Healthcare Worker.

Ms. Jessie Croft departed this life on Sunday, August 16, 2026, at the age of sixty-seven. She leaves her cherished lovable memories to her four devoted children: Terrance Croft, Tokeshia (Robert) Rice, April Wallace, and Shindiya Croft; sixteen grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; three siblings: Martin Luther Mims, Merna Williams, and Vikki Lee Valentine; three best friends: Betty Norman, Louise M. Grant and Linda M. Cotton; a special friend, Willie “Dirt”Dial; and a host of other relatives and friends who will surely miss her dearly.
