Deacon Bernard Byrd

Mr. Bernard Byrd was born in Laurens County, South Carolina on December 25th, 1953, to the late Rosa Bell Franklin. He attended the public schools of Laurens County, South Carolina. Mr. Byrd was a member of Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church in Clinton, South Carolina where he served faithfully on the Deacon Board. “Bird” or “B,” as he was lovingly called by all who knew and loved him, retired after many years of employment from Anderson Hardwood Floors. On Friday, June 12, 2026, at his home in Laurens County, South Carolina with his wife by his side, Deacon Bernard Byrd transitioned from earth to eternity to be with his Lord and Savior at the blessed age of seventy-two. He leaves to cherish his heartfelt memories his loving wife, Tammy Smith-Byrd of the home; three daughters: Queeyonda (Dennis) Hardy, Shakara (Dennis) Sullen of Florence, SC, and Amber (Di’Marcus) Sanders; two sisters: Mammie (Leroy) Dendy and Angela (Darrell) Sims; five grandchildren: Ja’Nya Pendermon, Makayla Jenkins, Tiyonna Jones, Sanaa Smith, and Harmony Sanders.other relatives and friends.
